Sun Group launches a 1,690-hectare urban complex in Southern Hanoi.
Sun Mega City Nam Hanoi is a multi-functional urban area spanning 1,690 hectares, showcasing a diverse array of cultural colors and honoring the historical values of the nation while combining modern elements.
Located 50 km from Hanoi and around a 45-minute drive away, the Sun Mega City resort super urban area benefits from advantageous transportation links due to major routes such as National Highway 1A, the Phap Van - Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway, as well as Belt Roads 3.5, 4, and 5, and the Phu Thu intersection. In the future, two projects including the North-South high-speed railway with Phu Ly station and a second airport for the capital region in Ung Hoa, just 25 km away, will further establish Sun Mega City as a new hub for national and international trade.
Additionally, the urban complex's attractive feng shui situated by three ancient rivers: the Day River, the Nhue River, and the Chau Giang River enhances its appeal while providing favorable waterway trade connections.
The Southern area of Hanoi, where Sun Mega City is located, is also witnessing a breakthrough in infrastructure for healthcare, education, and culture. Notably, the Nam Cao University area spans 900 hectares and aims to attract over 25 universities and educational institutions, gathering hundreds of thousands of students and teachers for study, living, and working. Alongside this, two major hospitals, Viet Duc and the second facility of Bach Mai, along with a series of key projects, are enhancing the quality of life in the area.

Sun Mega City is designed as a multi-functional urban complex, comprising three major urban components: the contemporary urban area - Sun Urban City; the riverside urban area - Sun River City; and the historical-cultural urban area - Sun Legacy City. The project is expected to provide 80,214 products to the market.
The highlight of Sun Mega City is the tourist complex that reinterprets the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, located within the historical-cultural urban area of Sun Legacy City. Inspired by historical landmarks in Long Doi Son and the Sung Thien Dien Linh stele, along with artistic architecture from the Ly-Tran dynasties (11th-14th century), this complex will recreate the architecture and lifestyle of the Ly-Tran period from 1,000 years ago.
With an overall layout that mimics the ancient capital, this area promises to offer a space for visitors to immerse themselves in the historical landscape and experience the flow of the nation's cultural essence.

Each subdivision within the overall project will recreate a prominent architectural structure, focusing on the transitional period between the Ly and Tran dynasties. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore iconic structures such as the Dai Hung Gate (the main entrance to the Imperial Citadel), the Ngo Phuong Tinh Lau (the main gate to the Forbidden City), the bell tower and drum tower, the Phung Thien Palace - the Chinh Duong Tower (the entrance to the dragon courtyard and time signal), the square (an event organization center), the market street (recreating a trading space), the Bach Dang show (honoring the victory on the Bach Dang River), traditional craft villages and communal houses, the grand auditorium (an ancient theater), the Confucian Institute - Quoc Tu Giam (a symbol of knowledge), the tourist wharf (inspired by the wharf during the Tran dynasty), the training ground (for martial arts and human chess activities), the military officials' area, the Le Dai Hanh shrine, the Thần Nông shrine, the Tịch Điền festival area, and especially the Thang Long Forbidden City with its important palaces and towers.
According to the project’s chief architect, the recreation of the architectural symbols from the golden era of the Ly and Tran dynasties carries a message of preserving cultural heritage. Modern technological elements such as 3D mapping projection, holographic effects, and direct interactivity are expected to be applied to enhance the visitor experience. Additionally, this area will develop a historical film studio model that provides a setting for producing films imbued with national identity.
The combination of a historically immersive space and modern experiences promises to create a destination that contributes to promoting Vietnamese culture and attracting tourists.

The two remaining pieces of Sun Mega City are Sun Urban City and Sun River City. Among them, Sun Urban City is set to launch in 2024. According to the investor, the project is meticulously planned with a construction density of 18%, dedicating up to 200 hectares for green landscapes, water features, along with 5 large parks and a range of amenities.
Seven months since the groundbreaking, the Sun Urban City construction site has been operating continuously to ensure progress. As a result, the project has surpassed various milestones, such as the topping out of the first high-rise building just over four months into construction. During the recent Lunar New Year, Ha Nam province also held a fireworks display to celebrate the new year along the central boulevard.
According to the plan, a series of important facilities at Sun Urban City will be operational this summer, including Sun World Park, a 1.5 km long and 150 m wide festival boulevard, and the Dong Doi Tam and Long Vu squares, along with a water music show. The first high-rise apartment building is scheduled for handover in June, and the remaining low-rise real estate products are expected to be largely completed by the end of the year.

With Sun Mega City, Sun Group aims to affirm its dedication in the journey of 'beautifying lands,' developing a high-quality multi-functional urban complex that contributes to making the southern part of Hanoi a symbol and a new, developing destination.
