Arrest of Phuc Anh Real Estate Company Director for Fraud

TPO - Nguyen Van Minh, Director of Phuc Anh Real Estate Company, has been prosecuted and detained for investigation into fraud and asset misappropriation.

On October 20, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Binh Duong Provincial Police prosecuted and temporarily detained Nguyen Van Minh (40 years old, originally from Nghe An), Director of Phuc Anh Real Estate Company, for investigation into fraudulent asset appropriation.

According to the police investigation, Minh was not the legal owner of a plot of land in Phu Giao District (Binh Duong), yet he arbitrarily divided it into seven lots and sold them. A customer paid 900 million VND for one of the lots.

After purchasing the land, the customer repeatedly requested the land use right certificate from Minh but did not receive it. Unable to reclaim their money, the customer reported Minh to the police.

During the investigation, authorities discovered that the land Minh sold was legally owned by another household, not by him.
